I've been using JamesWhite's feet for a while now but have been bugged that (a) the shrouds nearly touch the surface the printer is sitting on and (b) the tennis balls drop out whenever I pick the printer up to move it (which is regularly). So, off to OpenSCAD to recreate this as a parametric design! Please find enclosed: * kossel-ball-foot-v2.scad * the cup diameter is settable to suit whatever tennis balls you have to hand. * m4x5-bush.scad * M4 bushes, which may be required if your M4 bolts are too long. To promote best stability for your printer use the smallest tennis balls you can find (they will be wider set than feet with larger tennis balls). In the picture are: * 45mm Korbond Mini Tennis Ball intended for small dogs * 62mm Korbond Tennis Ball * 64mm Hyperpet Tennis Ball (for their elastic-powered Ball Shooter gun) Measure your tennis ball's diameter with vernier callipers and use this measurement for a tight fit. Add 2mm for a looser, but still snug, fit.
