Change history 2019.11 initail version. the lower carriage turned out not to be stable enough 2020.03 v1 lower carriage redesigned, seems to work very well Design goals: 1. This carriage allows to increae print volume height up to 330 mm by: a. moving the tensioner from the top of the rail to the carriage and b. moving the arms higher, allowing the arm to tuch the ceil of the printer 2. This carriage allows uo increase print precision: a. increased stability of the lower part, by removing the cut from the original design, b. exact belt guidance in the upperpart. belt is attached parallel to the move direction c. tight fitting of all screws 3. This carriage requires reduced amount of parts: a) all screws ae held directly by pla, no nuts needed Screws needed: - 2 x M3x18 for the arms - 3 x M3x14 for connecting the lower and upper carriage - 3 x M3x25 for the wheels - 1 x M3x15 for the endstop adjustment - 1 x M3x40 for the belt tensioner Screw them directly into the plastic, this will create the thread. Do not use excessive force to tighten the screws as this may destroy the plastic thread.
