This lamp shade is inspired by the original design by Poul Henningsen. In Sweden, it is called "Kotte" (the Swedish word for pine cone), and in Denmark "Kogle" (cone). Internationally, it is instead known as "Artichoke". An important feature of his design is that the lamp bulb is not visible from the outside from any angle; all light is indirect, reflected by the wings before coming out. This provides an even, pleasant, non-blinding light. This thing is a new design, trying to preserve the original features, but small enough to be printed on a 220x220 mm printer. The "wings" are angled so that they can be printed without support. The main part "kotte-wings.stl" can be printed without support, but requires good adhesion to the build plate. It can be a challenging print and requires a well tuned printer to avoid that the nozzle collides with warping parts of the print.. The top part "kotte-top.stl" should be printed with support from the build plate. A suitable E27 lamp socket (e.g. "HEMMA" or "SUNNEBY" from IKEA) is fitted through the 42 mm hole. Insert a standard E27-socket LED bulb before joining the top and wings parts. Use three M3x6 screws to attach the top to the wings part. The part "kotte-bottom.stl" is an optional small sheet that fits the bottom and prevents direct light from escaping downwards. It is manually inserted, preferably before the top is attached. I printed this in white PLA. Beware that colored material will cast a colored light. The design is optimized for a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height. If possible, use a threading tool to make M3 threads in the three holes at the top of the wings part before inserting the screws.
