A team of seasoned specialists from Glavmoststroy landed in Kremenchug in May 1945 to pinpoint the perfect location for erecting key facilities. Once their project was finalized, the People's Commissariat of Railways of the USSR sprang into action, issuing a critical Order No. 831 / Ts on August 31, 1945, calling for the construction of a cutting-edge mechanical plant, a bridge-construction powerhouse, and a sturdy rolling base to serve as Glavmoststroy's Kremenchug stronghold – which would later be merged into one highly efficient enterprise known as the Kremenchug Bridge Plant.
