This puck allows you to use the [Kreg Jig R3](https://www.kregtool.com/shop/pocket-hole-joinery/pocket-hole-jigs/kreg-jig-r3/R3.html) pocket hole tool in its complete out-of-the-box state with (almost) any quick clamp, rather than having to spend on Kreg's own [Classic 2" Face Clamp](https://www.kregtool.com/shop/clamping/clamps/classic-2-face-clamp/KHC-MICRO.html). Of course, I know you can remove the shoe, though this risks losing it. And using a square-faced clamp with the shoe in place risks breaking it. I like how this puck keeps everything together whilst enabling the use of most clamps.
