Description

Inspired by EvgenyF's model on Thingiverse, this storage case holds all the accessories for your Kreg pocket hole jig. It includes a snap-together hinged lid with an integrated latch. No longer do you have to go hunting for all your individual Kreg accessories when drilling your bi-annual pocket hole!

Print Settings

The assembly in the pictures was printed at the following settings:

Printer: Prusa i3 MK3S+

Print Settings

0.6mm nozzle

0.3mm layer height (variable layer height will give you smoother hinges)

2 shells sides

4 shells top and bottom

15% infill

Filament: generic blue PLA

Supports: none

Brim: none

Print Instructions

Orient the lid with the logo facing down into the print bed.

The smaller the layer height, the smoother the hinges will feel. Using variable layer height in PrusaSlicer will yield nice results.

The logo requires some decent bridging, so ensure your extruder fan is enabled.

I printed mine in PLA but PETG might withstand drops better.

Assembly Instructions

Gently squeeze the hinges together and work them gently back and forth to wear them in a bit.

NOTE: the left & right edges of my lid don't sit perfectly flush when the lid is snapped shut. The actual lid is slightly warped when viewed from the side. I suspect the hinges are putting the large thin lid under tension and warping it slightly, but I'm not sure. It doesn't bother me, but it might bother you.

Enjoy having all your Kreg accessories neatly stored in one place!
