This training bokken corresponds to the "Ed Schempp style kukri", a knife designed by Ed Schempp for Spyderco. Because of the downward curving grip angle, it has a powerfully aligned forward thrust, so I have designed this bokken to accommodate an optional elastomer tip which will help limit bruising when sparring with this bokken. I've also included a mold design to make a silicone tip.
