Kylo Ren Lightsaber

Kylo Ren's lightsaber was a crossguard lightsaber that he wielded as Supreme Leader of the First Order and master of the Knights of Ren. Originally, Ben Solo had wielded it while training under his uncle Luke Skywalker, who was a Jedi Master. The lightsaber had been constructed by Ren during his time as Ben Solo, when he was still learning to be a Jedi Padawan. After Ben Solo's fall to the dark side and destruction of Luke Skywalker's temple in 28 ABY, he modified it into a red-bladed lightsaber with a crossguard hilt inspired by an ancient design from the Great Scourge of Malachor. The modified lightsaber contained a cracked Kyber crystal that required lateral vents on either side of the handle to divert excess heat generated by the crystal.
