L1/L2 Watt Meter for Generator

L1/L2 Watt Meter for Generator

I own a generator that I hook to my house when needed. The generator did not come with a watt meter and thought having one would be helpful. Found a under $20 panel meter from Amazon that came with a Split Core Current Transformer pick up sensor so no wires would need to be cut. Since I need 240 volts from the generator, it has two hot wires (L1/L2) with each running 120 volts each. The Split core pickup and meter is designed to measure watts on either L1 or L2, but not both. Not wanting two meters I bought an extra magnetic sensor and a switch from ebay to switch between sensors. I can now measure either L1 or L2 with a flip of a switch. The electrical contacts needed to operate the meter and fit into case were removed from the plug listed below from Home Depot. One of the two stl files for the case come with my own designed supports. Was using Cura and was a pain to remove the slicer supplied supports.
