This is a clip that will allow you to mount a L298N Motor Controller Board inside your project enclosure. The L298N is a very inexpensive (search on ebay), but capable dual motor controller. You can use it with a Raspberry Pi, Arduino or other micro controller. It allows you to use PWM, so it is super versatile. This clip was designed in SketchUp from scratch, but was completely inspired by models from jwags55 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:511970 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:513629). I love the other clips made by jwags55 and did my best to replicate his great design. The actual L298N board is approximately 43mm square. I originally modeled the clip to be 43mm wide (at the point where the board clips in), but this was too loose, so I reduced the width (at the point where the board clips in) to be approximately 42mm. Instructions Although it is possible to print in PLA, this was designed to be printed in ABS, which is a bit more flexible and (versus PLA being a bit more rigid). If you want to use PLA, you'll need to expand the clip by about 1mm in width as I made the board fit pretty tight in the clip so the motor controller clip can be used for applications where there may be a lot of vibration or jerking. You will need to flip the STL to print properly. I use a brim (Repetier) or raft (Simplify3D) to allow this to print without curling from the bed while printing as the clip is rather narrow.
