I was always frustrated with the original Lack Enclosure because the knobs were constantly falling off, and the hinges were not holding the doors well (especially, when you lift the enclosure, the doors could just fall off).

I got an idea from a bookcase of my parents that had glass doors. The doors were mounted in metal hinges that had plastic bolts with rubbery tips, to grip the glass well.

This remix has four hinges used to hold the plexiglass doors as well as two knobs. There are left and right variants so you can use the same nuts for all of them (mirroring would screw-up the thread direction).

Important: the knobs have internal cavities for the magnets‼️ So you have to pause the print and insert the magnets before the cavity is sealed. The provided gcodes do that. I fixed my magnets in the official model with a CA glue, and they were occasionally falling out.

Important #2: I did this remix a long time ago when I was tweaking my enclosure and there is a chance that the hinges may be slightly larger than the original ones. Please let me know if something does not work.

Print instructions

Recommended layer height: 0.15mm (so the threads inter-operate well).

‼️ When printing knobs you have to pause the print and insert the magnets before the cavities are sealed
