Ladder Dog / Finger

Ladder Dog / Finger

I redesigned the aluminum extension ladder with new features. The old one broke, so I created this improved version. Smaller holes in the pivot allow for easier tapping of a #10/32 or metric equivalent screw. To secure it, I used stainless steel cap screws that I trimmed to size using a Dremel cut off tool. You can also print plastic dowel pins if needed. I use 123D to design my extrusions. First, I create each side separately and then raise them to form the middle space. Finally, I merge all the parts together to make a solid object. The small holes enable easy insertion of return springs. It's great that this ladder will be spared from the recycler. I've had it for decades and it's still functional. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printer: i3 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes
