It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show on February 28, 2011, five months after its official presentation at Sant'Agata Bolognese. Its internal development code is LB834. Shortly after the presentation to the public of the Aventador, Lamborghini announced that it had sold more than 12 months of its production. Deliveries began in the second half of 2011
