The lance that is used in a local jousting tournament. It is 1.5 mtr long, 3kg heavy and perfectly balanced ( by means of lead pallets inserted in the back part) The contenders ride on horses (large belgium workhorses) without a saddle and try to spear a steel ring from 38 - 10mm. (see image) This lance is used by the GRV (Grijpkerkese Ringrijders vereniging) and is painted in the colors of the dutch flag with orange, the color of our Queen since she is one of the donators of a beautifull trofee.
