Landing Craft Tank Mark 5

This is an LCT Mk 5 of WWII, 1942-1945. 500 of them were made, and the design evolved through the production run. The original design did not include any weapons; 20 mm Oerlikons were added in forward bases at first. Hulls 401 to 500 were modified to take two Oerlikons as built. The first three images show hull no. 001 as built; the rest show hulls no 058 modified to carry two guns; hull no. 401, a complete redesign, and hull no. 461, with additional armor and other changes.
