Tank Landing Craft (LCT)s were initially developed by the British Royal Navy for bringing tanks directly to the beachhead. The Mk. IV variant was an earlier war design and was larger than the subsequent Marks V and VI. It could carry up to 9 Sherman Tanks. It was tested during the Dieppe Raid in 1942.
