Landscape Light Capper

Landscape Light Capper

Most Dollar Store, or Wally's, or Meijer's, etc., lights come with a Silver band (or some hokey design) on them. I wanted to be able to put a cap on mine to match other printed objects that I have out there. This cap is designed to fit over a 56.2mm diameter x 29mm high landscape light with their silver cap still in place. I removed the silver cap on my first try and printed one a tad smaller to fit it that way, but putting it right on top of the silver cap made the color stand out better in the daytime. You can easily resize it to fit over whatever size lights you have. I've uploaded a pic of one that I printed in PETG Magenta to match some Owl head post caps that I made and already have on my deck. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Whatever Infill: none Notes: PETG is best, but chances are, whatever plastic you use, that this will outlast the lights anyway. :p How I Designed This Drew it up in Blender. Pretty simple that way with a couple of Boolean differences.
