Lansky Puck 30/40 degree guide

The Lancky Puck sharpener was designed to be a hand-sharpening tool for field use on larger tools, but why not use it on ALL your knives? This guide holds the sharpener at a consistent angle, making sharpening your kitchen or small knives easy! Much like the spyderco sharpmaker, you position yourself above the blade, and hold it vertically, while you "cut" down into the stone. Then rotate the guide, and sharpen the other side. Lock your wrist, and keep the blade vertical through the stroke to get a perfect 30 or 40 degree angle on your blade as long as you have a flat surface to put the guide on. Design includes a drain for bathing the stone in water. A wet stone is a long-lasting stone. ##NOTE## * The geometry of the puck cutout is designed to make the stone push in from the FRONT, not the top. Pull the stone forward (toward the sharpening side) to remove it. The top is hooked slightly to retain the stone. ##IMPROVEMENTS## * The guide works best if you switch sharpening hands, so your support hand is behind the sharpening side, and away from the blade. It would be better to have a finger protector on the other side of where the blade falls after the sharpening stroke. * The sides of the guide are flat, so there's not much grip for your fingers to hold the guide. Some cutouts or texturing would go a long way to making the guide easier to hold. ##PRINT SETTINGS## * It's a simple print, and needs no supports, and very little infill (I used 5%), but make sure your base is as flat as possible. I had some curling on the corners (testing different bed temp), but it worked fine. Use a raft if necessary, because the flatness of the base is what assures the angle of the guide.
