Lanyard / Cord Snap Connector

Lanyard / Cord Snap Connector

thingiverse

This is a snap connector for a lanyard or cord I designed this for the Dilbert Tie (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:217219) so that I could easily put the tie on and take it off. This version of the snap works much better than the original design that I supplied with the Dilbert Tie. I am posting this separately since I think it may be useful for a number of applications. I adapted the snap connector from FaberDasher's Snap Together Garland. Instructions I used polyester twine for the cord. Insert the cords into the small holes in the connectors. Tie a figure eight knot. For extra security, I melted the knot slightly with a lighter. Trim the cord close to the knot so that the knot does not prevent the ball from fully entering the "hole end" piece.
