This is still a work in progress. I designed this case because I couldn't find one that I liked. This model doesn't expose the drive's SATA interface but rather expects you to add a SATA to USB controller and a female USB connector. It is also closed with M3 screws. If you have an old laptop that's not working anymore, don't throw all of it away, keep the drive! They're getting rare on the newer machines and are still useful once in a while. Still to do: - Add the front panel - Push the rear screws further back to close the rear better - Round the corners for better portability - Adjust rear thickness for easier printing and cleaner IO hole - Add a better integration of the USB connector with pegs/stops instead of glue (probably won't do unless requested) You will need: - mini SATA to USB adapter (like this : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33032998495.html) - female USB type mini B, C, or micro B (like this : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000390028382.html) - 4 M screws (8mm length works well) I am in no hurry to finish this project since it meets my current needs as it is right now, so if you are waiting on me to finish it please let me know! Just wanted to put it out there now since it's pretty functional already.
