Laptop Stand + Desk Organizer

The objective of this design is to combine the ergonomic use of a laptop stand and the convenience of a desk organizer. The platform also offers use for writing, doing homework, and eating. The organizer attaches to the back and can be customized to the user's preferences. The issues I encountered during my modeling process were unexpected dimension errors, troublesome 3D coupling, and some unnecessary sketches that needed extra clarification. I was able to iron out the mistakes, but I still have much to learn. If I were to redo the design process, I would replace the wooden dowels with a railing that slides out the organizer piece to the side for easy access. This would make the design considerably simple rather than assembling the organizer piece by piece. Furthermore, I noticed parts of my model seemed too small that I would need to decrease the size of my dowels to compensate. Access to a 3D printer would make it easier to prototype by having a tangible design I could proportion out to real-world standards. All in all, this was a fun early CAD experience that I look forward to doing more as I continue my studies in engineering. Thank you.
