A simple wooden stand designed to tilt your tablet or laptop into a more ergonomic viewing position. The design uses standard struts that can be scaled to fit your tablet or laptop. The included SVG template prints the struts needed to produce a 15in laptop stand & an iPad stand. Instructions Use 3.6mm wood to print this template; the complete template requires an 11in x 17in board. Once the structs are cut, fit them together to create your stand. For a 15in Laptop: Use the longest set of struts on the outside and the midsize struts on the inside. Space the struts evenly along the notched support with the longest struts on each end. For an iPad (or similar tablet): Use the shortest set of struts. Fit the struts at the far ends of the supports. For tablets / laptops which may require more support, use more struts spaced evenly along the notched support. The design has only been tested with a 2011 15in Macbook pro and an iPad. Heavier laptops or larger tablets may require additional supports or modified struct lengths. When modifying the strut lengths, make sure the holes for the supports don't change shape or size! The included images show multiple strut configurations– test different combinations to see which works best for your device. The Notch supports should fit tightly into the struts; Depending on your tools & the type of wood you use it may be necessary to modify the width of the notches to ensure a tight fit.If things turn out wobbly with your configuration out, just add glue!
