Laputa Robot Head Key Holder

Laputa Robot Head Key Holder

The original project called for a 3D modeled and printed Coat Hook. I took a slight detour and made a key holder. Inspired by Laputa's robot, the removable eyeball has a slot for a RareEarth magnet, while the eye socket has a small crevice for the same magnet. This version was printed in ABS and measures approximately 117x121 mm. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 20% Notes: In the two samples I printed, I didn't use supports, but the extended part of the eyes would benefit from having support. It's not too drastic, and can be shaved off relatively easily with minimal integrity loss to the surface, and printed with easy, but it would definitely look better. It can hold about 4 keys and to key rings comfortably. Post-Printing laptop edge for scale in the process of drying: 3 layers of gesso and 3 layers of acrylic paint Final Image
