Large CW Morse Code Iambic Key

Large CW Morse Code Iambic Key

My first Build with SolidWorks. This is a full sized Iambic Key that uses flat Package strapping (the metal ones) and 1/4" Misc. Hardware to make an Iambic Key. You could also use a sawblade as the paddles. I designed this after seeing how expensive an iambic key is. I am 17 years old and just got into morse code not too long ago. Use the Iambic2 file for printing, as it has been rotated to be flat on your printer. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: Doesn't Matter Notes: The print is somewhat large. Post-Printing Use quarter inch nuts and bolts for the tension adjust and center post. I took a block of steel and glued some leather on the bottom and mounted the print onto the block for some weight. I glued 2 package straps onto the print as the paddles, using a small nut and bolt to fasten the crimped worse onto the paddles, all of which were soldered onto a 3.5mm audio jack to plug into a radio. I have managed to increase my CW speed from 7 to 15 WPM. I can also do 20, but it is rather uncomfortable for me do to a lack of experience.
