Large filament holder using fidget spinner

I had a fidget spinner and wanted to turn it into a spool holder for my needlessly large filament spool. This project: 1. Uses a fidget spinner (instead of a separate ball bearing or printed bearing) 1. Can be disassembled to take up less space 1. Can be printed using an M3D Micro printer 1. Is structurally strong If you want it to be higher, put a book under the entire thing or modify TripodArms to be longer as your printer allows. You'll need: - **fidget spinner** with an 8 mm diameter hole in middle (pry plastic cap off to reveal), three 10 mm diameter holes in arms (the centers of which are 25 mm from the center of the fidget spinner) - **superglue** Printing: * STL units are in **mm** * Print **without** supports * Requires very little infill; only "TripodArm" experiences significant stress and it's more than strong enough with a ~1 cm diamond pattern infill * Parts have 0.5 mm of tolerance, which should make it compatible with lower quality printers and printer calibrations 1. **FilamentStand-FidgetLink.stl** - print **3x**, attach fidget spinner to filament spool; if it's not snug enough, make modifications to file or give up here 1. **FilamentStand-TripodTopTop.stl** - print **1x** 1. **FilamentStand-TripodTopJoints.stl** - print **1x**, superglue **widest** end of TripodTopTop to the middle of the flat side; after drying, you should be able to put what you have together and spin the filament spool while holding this part; if you can't, make modifications as needed or give up here 1. **FilamentStand-BaseMiddle.stl** - print **1x** 1. **FilamentStand-BaseArmColumn.stl** - print **3x**, superglue to BaseMiddle 1. **FilamentStand-BaseArmJoint.stl** - print **3x**, superglue to BaseArmColumn 1. **FilamentStand-TripodArm.stl** - print **6x**, superglue them together in pairs while lining up the ends Once the pieces are glued, you should end up with what you see in the second picture. No more gluing is required.
