UPDATE: Also added another piston and matching cap labeled as hi-flow. I noticed with the original design, the sump I have would take a little longer to empty than expected. I simply opened the internals of the piston and mad another cap so that it can move more water faster... Was having issues with the discharge from my sump pump eroding soil where it discharges. As there were no pop-up sprinklers available for something this large, I made one. This is set up for 1-1/4" SCH 40 PVC pipe inlet (1.660" Dia.) NOT garden sprinkler size lines. (SIDE NOTE) This is slightly oversized on the inlet as well. I did this as 3D printed parts tend to crack when forced together. I figured a loose fit is better than a tight one. Plus add a little PVC cement and all is well. I designed this mainly for higher volume, lower pressure applications. I suggest printing it from ABS or another plastic that does not absorb water like PLA tends to. I also ran the body and piston cap at 20% infill and 15% on the piston and threaded cap. Wanted the piston cap a little stronger to the lawn tractor does not crack it. Will try to get some pictures of it in action when I happen to be out when it's running. Currently on my pump is shooting about an 8' diameter circle of water. Final note, IT IS LARGE! You will need a printer with at least an 8" (220mm) cubed envelope to print it in one shot.
