Larson Class Destroyer (My Take)

Larson Class Destroyer (My Take)

thingiverse

This is my take on the old Fasa Larson class destroyer. I was watching a few Trekyards videos(Those guys are great) while working on some of the previous ships. There was one video about the Rules of Starship Design according to Gene Roddenbury. One of the rules was that there had to be an even number of nacelles to create a warp bubble. So, it got me thinking about how some of the ships Fasa made would have looked if they'd followed those rules. One of my favorite designs was the Larson, so I picked it as a starting point. I wanted to keep the majority of the design, but also wanted the twin nacelles. From there, it didn't make sense how they'd route the warp conduits, so I added a tiny engineering section between the "wings". That way the warp conduits can just go straight to the nacelles and I could put the deflector dish on that.
