Laser / CNC Cut Vice

Laser / CNC Cut Vice

A vice (or vise if you prefer) made for light routing or engraving. Made to be CNC cut but a printable (fingers crossed) version has also been uploaded. Instructions See the uploaded parts list for quantities of parts etc. If you make the printed version, you just need one of each of the .stls (I think- let me know if not). Mine was made from 6mm MDF- I don't really think it matters as long as the thickness of certain parts match. Cut out all of the MDF parts, stack together as per the GA (glue helps at this point). To ensure alignment use M4 (or equiv.) bolts through the 3.3mm holes. Don't glue the bridging bars across the top of the 2 no. M8 nuts- just use bolts fitted from the top into the pre-glued screw_block. To hold the anti-lift blocks in place (if you dont want to rely on glue) you'll need to use csk head M4s. Just line everything up and run them through into the moving jaw body. I've also uploaded the .stl files for those with printers. The stls have been generated from sub-assemblies of laminated parts. I've tried to combine bodies where possible and checked they open without errors on netfabb so there should be any problems. Just noticed- on the dxf the balloons don't contain any part numbers! I've added a .pdf with the parts and their numbers (I''ve had to change the order of the parts as they when on to the sheet (part 7 I think is the only one in the wrong place). That's it, enjoy.
