Laser Cut Ping Pong Ball Cannon

Laser Cut Ping Pong Ball Cannon

This is a further remix of the Ping Pong Ball cannon found here: https://dxfprojects.com/5-toys/534-cannon-for-ping-pong-balls It was previously remixed for 3mm wood, this version has been tweaked to fit on a stock K40 Laser Cutter and I've also included a STL for a 25.4mm diameter ball for ammo. I found the ball included in the previous remix was very tiny and problematic to build. Also, some construction hints: 1. Be sure that when you put the cross bar into the barrel that that it is in the correct orientation so the tab is on top and will be held by the trigger. This cross bar MUST go in before you glue the rest of the barrel together. 2. Make sure the rubber bands you use are the same. Evenly distributed pressure is the key so the cross bar doesn't skew, which can cause it to bind. Most importantly, make two and have fun shooting them at each other! Cut both files via K40 whisperer, there's no engraving or anything of the like, so just load and click "Vector Cut" Cut on a bone stock K40 laser (with just the clamp removed) out of 3mm beech plywood. 30% power, 10mm/sec You may want to up the laser speed as I had some issues with sap/resin on the bottom following the cut.
