It was a top and base box design. I prepared the drawings in SketchUp and then exported to dxf file for laser cutting. I have been testing out different designs on living hinge, particularly on the distance between lines. I would like to make sure that the wood can be bended in desired curve and at the same time strong enough not to be broken. The size of the pencil box is 21x6x4.5cm, with the material thickness at 3mm.
