Laser pen holder for vinyl contour cutter

I have a cheap vinyl cutter that has a laser dot which is supposed to enable me to line up prints for contour cutting. The dot is offset from the actual cutting head by about 20mm, so it's really difficult to line up the cutter with the registration marks on the sheet. Some cutting software allows you to input that offset, but mine doesn't. So I made this thing into which I put a laser dot pen (about £2 from ebay). This then fits in the clamp for the cutter head while I do the alignment and then is swapped for the actual cutter at the end. The photos show the holder in the clamp and also there's a close-up of the offset. The red dot on the sticker is the one the machine generates. The green dot is from my laser pen and is lined up exactly on one of the registration marks. I also made a little clip thing that holds the on/off switch on, but you can achieve the same effect with a bit of tape.
