Hello All, This is my entry for the Covent- Challenge. The main goal of this design was to use a majority of readily available off the shelf components for the control of flow pressure and the ratio of O2 to air. The bought components are complemented with some 3D printed mounts. The exterior is a simple sheet metal design to allow for quicker assembly. The mechanical design accepts inlets from both compressed air and O2 or Fio2 and uses several Electrically operated air on/off valve to control the ratios of intakes that meet up before going through a Precision Compressed Air Regulator which allows for controlling of the pressure involved in the breathing procedure. A final electrically controlled on-off valve is used for the exhale and lowering of pressure to a full exhale pressure. All mechanical components were based off parts readily available from a third party vendor. The unique items are listed in an excel sheet in the references. On the electrical side, a touch screen, a heart rate sensor, and all mechanical components are run through a Rasberry pi, which controls the breathing procedure. The touch screens allow adjustment of pressures and ratio of air and O2 by controlling the inlet valves and air regulator through the raspberry pi. Items that still could be added are filtration of the air and a mixer for the air and O2.
