Last minute lamp to save christmas!

<p>The day before christmas, all the stores are closed and you have not found the present for your mother. That is not a problem because you are a maker and you got solid FFF and pretty PLA.</p> <p>Everybody needs a lamp, and pretty ones will be especially appreciated this dark time of year, spreading that danish "hygge" in the house.</p> <p>So fire up that printer and find an E14 (small) socket and wire or recycle an ugly ass lamp foot from the basement and see that smile on your mothers face.</p> <p>Happy christmas.</p> <p>Bonus: Your family will never again comment on the usefulness of your prints, no mattor how many groot prints you make ;-)</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Print the lamp in your favourite color, and play around with the layer height till it fits your taste. A nice matte filament works best, and use a nice bright color to get a nice light out of it. If you want it black, consider painting it a color on the inside to have a smoother and more pleasant light.</p> <p>Spiral vase mode will drastically improve your print time, so if you need more stability, consider a stronger filament or a thicker nozzle.<br/> Don't worry about infill as the construction is plenty strong.</p> <p>Supports are printed with 100% infill and a thicker nozzle is great if you have it. This model is designed for a danish E14 socket, but you should scale the center in programmes like blender to fit your hardware.</p> <p>Unless you print on some real hi-tech materials you should only use LED bulbs with this design, and don't place it in a greenhouse during summertime, as they might deform. If your LED's are cheap or old you might want to get that hi-tech filament for the supports anyway.</p> <p>The tall support is mounted inside the smaller one if you want to use it as a pendant.</p> <p>Let me know if you have any questions.</p>
