I have added weight inserts for these chess pieces. I love the classic chess set look, but I felt even with a 20% fill, the pieces were too light, and I like a more solid feel. As you see in the photo, I have a pawn, with the cavity filled with washers, and the disc. I glued the disc to the cavity to close the space of the washers. I then glued the opposite side to the pawn. This 2mm extra space gives a bit more stability to the piece. With the three washers, it is very nice and heavy. Don't forget to glue them too, this will keep them from potentially sliding around depending on how much gap there is with your print. <b>*See "Support" below for direct download to avoid Tip PopUp window*</b> Method 1. Print the appropriate amount for your chess pieces 16 pawns 4 rooks 4 knights 4 bishops 2 queens 2 kings 2. Insert 3 18mm washers inside the cavity. I glued mine inside. The size I calculated for is 18mm (outside diameter) x 1.5mm thick. These are pretty standard sizes. You can go smaller of course. 3. glue cavity (open size showing washers) to the bottom of the chess piece, then glue the larger disc to the bottom, OR glue the disc to the cavity side and then glue the bottom of the cavity side to the bottom of the chess piece. They should match up to within .5mm (mine are about .1mm or less. NOTE: I have added a letter to represent each piece that will get printed. I have them on the inside after gluing. the height is .25. I did this because the piece sizes are different and you want to make sure you glue the right bottoms to your pieces. :)
