My Altoids tin fell open in my computer bag a few weeks ago. Never again.

Holds the lid shut securely even when significant force is applied.

Maintains a slight pressure when closed to prevent the lid from moving or rattling.

Can be opened and closed one-handed

A very quick print. I printed mine in PETG for more flexibility, but I'm sure PLA or ABS would be fine. Print at 100% infill, no supports. The model is already in the correct printing orientation.

Attach to the bottom of the tin as shown in the pictures with either permanent double-sided tape or strong glue/epoxy. It's designed to hold the lid tightly when double-sided tape is used, but glue works too. Only tape or glue the rear portion behind the flexible hinge as shown in the pictures, leaving the front free to bend. Press the lip on the back of the print against the back wall of the tin when applying to ensure correct positioning.
