<p>Made a disc brake for my HBM lathe from a bycicle discbrake set.</p><p>For the handle/lever I used a 10x10mm Rod and a steel mounting plate as carrier for the brake handle.</p><p>The lever also activates a mini switch which is in serial with the safety-switches (chuck, sidecover). Wired as NC (normally closed).</p><p>Works fine for delicate operations like single point threading etc. </p>
