Lathe Index Wheel
thingiverse
The degree wheel on the back of a lathe's chuck allows precise division and measurement of workpieces. This user-created 4-inch diameter wheel features a hole every 5 degrees, designed with zero-clearance for a tight slip-fit over a spindle retaining nut. The pointer bracket is still being finalized, but the part was printed successfully using Afinia's default settings. The ring required a raft due to its size, while the bracket did not. The entire project weighs approximately 48 grams and can be attached to the lathe's gear case cover using bolts in its threaded holes. While this modification may vary depending on the specific mini lathe model, it is expected to fit many 7X models. Metric files are now available for download.
