The fan base helps your LattePanda stay cool. After testing, my LattePanda stays about 10 degrees cooler. I am currently using a 40mm x 40mm x 7mm 5V fan. You could probably use a 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan. The correct fan size can be found on Ameridroid and Amazon. The LattePanda is raised using 4 plastic standoffs and sits nicely in the base. This may fit other single board computers.
