LAU-68 (LAU-131) Rockert Launchers for Hydra 70 LAU-68D/A is 7-Tube Rocket Launcher with external thermal protection coating used by US Navy and US Marine Corps. LAU-131/A is the same construction but without thermal protection and used by US Air Force. LAU-68F/A Launcher is 11.25 inches longer than the legacy LAU-68D/A Launcher as was designed to allow the entire guidance section of the APKWS II to be contained within the launcher structure. Like the LAU-68D/A, the LAU-68F/A has a thermal protective coating on the exterior surface. Unlike the LAU-68D/A, the LAU-68F/A lacks a forward firing receptacle.
