Launchable rocket model, flies 100m above the ground easily :)

I've added a shorter version (200mm) + an extension tube (another 200mm) so you can print on smaller printers and glue these two elements together.

The first launch in slow motion - https://youtu.be/SDTpYEJABq8

This is a fully printable rocket model that can be powered by 12mm, 16mm or 18mm rocket engines. It's been tested with 12mm A-class and 16mm B-class engines. The "fins" are slightly angled to generate rotation and improve stability.

It was designed to be printed in spiral/vase mode, so the whole model is a single path - that is why the STL files are SOLID. They become a "shell" by proper settings. The only thing to be printed in regular mode is the engine adapter.

Happy launches!

If you like my design do not hesitate to visit my YT channel - @taboretum

Print Settings

Rocket base and nose:

Layer height:0.3mm

Layer width: 0.5mm (this HAS TO BE exactly this value, otherwise elements won't fit)

Solid top layers: 0

Solid bottom layers: 0

Mode: corkscrew / vase / spiral (CRITIAL parameter)

Engine adapters:

Layer height:0.3mm

Layer width: 0.5mm

Solid top layers: 2

Solid bottom layers: 2

Infill: 10% (we want this to be light)

Assembly instructions:

No glue needed, push-fit was strong enough in my case. To fly it you would need:

-rocket engine (12mm, 16mm or 18mm, tested with 12mm class A and B)

-cord (glued to nose cone and the main tube)

-streamer or parachute (see model rocketry tutorials for details)

-launch pad/rod (there is a tunnel for the rod in the rocket base)

My complete rocket weights ~40g
