I always planned to try this, only just had time. With what I've learned from the exercise with the velocity and volume versions of the "Layer Shift" fan ducts, it seems the wide arms of the original might not have been necessary. This is the first draft of a version that keeps the original principle (opposing but offset streams of air) but with a much smaller and compact form factor. Initial results on my printer show no appreciable performance drop compared to any of the layer shift versions. The fan is designed to sit on the stock blower in the stock position on an ANet A8. You will need to turn your heatblock through 90 degrees so that the heating element and thermistor enter from the rear of the printer.
