LC100 Tester Case Extended
thingiverse
This is a remix of entomophile's LC100 case, extended to include space for batteries and test probe connectors. I often find myself in need of a reliable power source when using this device, which is why I prefer not to have to hunt down a suitable 5-volt power supply. Testing board-mounted capacitors or coils with standard test probes is also much easier than trying to locate an adapter or other specialized tool. Rather than reinventing the wheel, I chose to build upon entomophile's excellent model and extend its capabilities. To make the buttons, power switch, and power jack more readable when printed at a resolution of 0.2 mm, I enlarged the text that identifies them. As with the original model, this design requires supports. By setting support density to 5%, you can easily remove supports using a pair of pliers with a few back-and-forth twists. The LC100 is not as widely used as it once was, thanks to the abundance of more capable and feature-rich alternatives available today. As a result, even acrylic cases specifically designed for these devices are no longer sold. If all you need is a nice case to house your LC100 meter, I recommend downloading and printing the original case instead. However, if you want to add batteries and probe connectors, download this version and be sure to thank entomophile for his hard work. I hope someone finds this useful.
