I needed room both for the large matrix controller that came with my LCD 1602 but also to fit a proper usb port into the side hole. The buttons on the Matrix controller are not accessible once the lid is screwed on. For me, M2.5 screws worked the best. For the back lid, see the original thing. This thing was made with Tinkercad.
