LCD and Filament guide for Prusa i3
thingiverse
My modified LCD exceeds the size of the standard model, with increased space between screw holes set at 50 mm and 146 mm. As such, I enlarged the original mounting plate and developed a novel attachment mechanism that integrates seamlessly with the metal frame. Designing the support system entailed careful consideration of the extruder's maximum Z height to ensure a secure and stable platform for the LCD. I also ensured flexibility by designing the LCD bracket to pivot through 45° degrees, allowing for easy access and repositioning. In addition to the custom-fit mounting design, I incorporated a precision-crafted filament guide into the system to optimize print quality and reduce the risk of tangling or clogging. Lastly, the innovative LCD cover I designed accommodates my specific measurement requirements. While created with mine in mind, it is adaptable enough that others may also find it useful.
