LEA 6H GPS Case

LEA 6H GPS Case

thingiverse

This is a case I designed for the LEA 6H GPS that normally comes with a 3DR ArduPilot. The case with screws weighs in at only 29 grams. The boards slips into the bottom case and is then held in place with the lid. I suggest adding in a foam where the cable leaves the case in order to avoid rubbing. This also holds the cable firmly in place in case you accidentally pull or tug on it. I opted for the round design simply because it gives me a nice surface area for the screws and is aesthetically pleasing. I removed the material from the lid to lighten up the design a little, but also so I could see the lights on the GPS. You can mount thin clear plastic to the underneath of the lid if you would prefer the case closed. Instructions I print my case with 3 perimeters, a 5% fill and at 0.3mm height. If you want to refine the print, reducing layer height to 0.2mm or 0.1mm is no problem. I mount my case on a piece of CF rod with a round servo horn glued to the top using only double sided tape. I have not experienced a failure yet and use this on two of my drones.
