Lead screw bearing holder

Lead screw bearing holder

This is my best mod yet. It takes the load off the motor coupler, and as a result, a more accurate printer and no need for a second lead screw. It consists of a 608 2Z bearing inserted in to the bearing holder with an 8mm washer between the bearing and the bush. The bush has two M4 grub screws (left over from the build) locking the bush on to the lead screw. How to instal. The lead screw is a bit undersize and the bearing is able to slide up and down quite easily. So part of the lead screw goes through the bearing which holds the lead screw in place. The washer and bush sits on top of the bearing taking the load of the X axis. You must re adjust the motor coupler so there is no tension on it. It takes a bit of time aligning the lead screw correctly but it's worth the effort. use the alignment jig. Which you need to print first The alignment jig file is included, align the lead screw at the motor end, nut and bearing holder. The new 20mm test cube measures X = 20.1 Y = 19.99 Z = 20.00 Print Settings Printer: TEVO tarantula Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 75
