Leaf Gauge Handle for Bed Leveling

Leaf Gauge Handle for Bed Leveling

This leaf gauge handle was designed as a better alternative to using a sheet of A4 paper. It fits a .004in (go) leaf and .005 (no-go) leaf for use in setting your hotend to bed distance and leveling. Just remove those 2 pieces from your leaf gauge set and insert them into the slots. This thin, long, handle is meant to keep your gauges handy and prevent you from putting pressure on the build plate when measuring. If the .004 fits but the .005 doesn't (or at least fits roughly) you know you hit your target without over-expanding the gap. A4 paper has a fairly wide tolerance range. The target spacing when leveling on most printers is .001mm. using a gauge is a quicker and more consistent way of leveling. .004in is equal to .001016mm. That's close enough for me. V1 was the original design. V2 puts them closer together to make constant checking easier but may be more difficult to print. **I don't have a metric leaf gauge set so this is what I made. should still work with a .001 and .0013 metric leaf.
