These are the supporting files for the Learning Blade Basic Robot Coding Activity. This Maker Quest gives students practice preparing a set of simple instructions a robot could follow to move across a grid to a specific location. The 3D-printed map and obstacle tiles can be rearranged in a variety of different ways to scale the difficulty of the activity. Each individual piece will fit within a 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm print volume. The components could be scaled, but the any changes in scale could affect the fit of the interlocking map grid sections. The map grid sections are designed with simple notches and grooves so the overall grid can be as large as needed. It’s recommended to print at least two map grid sections for this activity. Once the map grid has been setup, and the remaining pieces have been printed, the coding part of the activity is ready to begin.
