Leatherman Wingman Bit Adapter

Leatherman Wingman Bit Adapter

This bit adapter allows your Leatherman Wingman's Phillips head screw driver to be used with Leatherman's slim bit kit bits or any of their extension adapters. I was able to drive 3" framing screws with no pilot hole through into a 2x4 with this adapter. I have no idea how strong it really is, but it's certainly strong enough for medium duty tasks like driving wood screws. The fit is VERY tight at first for the bits themselves. There is a thin strip of retaining plastic to hold the bits in that will wear down to a more reasonable level after ~10 insertions and removals. You'll probably need to use your tools pliers in order to remove the bits. The ratchet adapter has more than enough leverage to be pulled out with fingers. I promise it gets better. This is just he best way to keep the bits from falling out from normal wear. When inserting the adapter onto the phillips bit, be sure to give it a good shove. There is almost 0 wobble when it's pushed in enough. You're going to want to use 100% infill for this to get the most strength out of it.
