Led Light Base

Led Light Base

thingiverse

This is a fairly straight forward LED light designed to use the flat 48 bulb units that are all over ebay. I made this up to replace all the hot - power hungry - and not particularly bright 12 volt lights in my Pull behind camper and my house boat (which is a camper on pontoons) as well as lighting for the boat dock and all my other off grid buildings. These use the flat led panels that are delightfully cheap and bright. If you google "White-48-SMD-COB-LED-T10-4W-12V" or some variation thereof you will find they are pretty ubiquitous. Close observation (or casual observation for that matter) will show that I put the mounting holes too close to the corners so I had to notch the corners of the lens instead of drilling proper holes. I've fixed this in the model but I haven't printed a second one yet. You know those breathalyzer things that they put in peoples cars. I think I need a version of that for my computer but instead of alcohol it detects caffeine levels. Too low and you can't get on cad. Although, the alcohol version seems logical too. Not for me, mind you. Just for people with online dating profiles. Or Facebook .. . . Someone asked me to draw up a single so I added one - hope that helps.
